Every so often you come across a truely special vineyard that has everything you are looking for. The Orsi vineyard is almost too good to be true, planted in the rocks and sand along the banks of the Russian River, vines approaching 30 years of age and farming that has transitioned from Organic to Biodynamic. Yielding less than 1/2ton per acre in 2008 we took the meager crop and pressed it directed to stainless steel. In tank it spent the next 8 months fermenting without any additions or assistance. Upon the completion of fermentation, the wine was lightly sulfured to preserve its delicate nature.
