2009 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, skin fermented

The 2009 chardonnay was destemmed and left on its skins for the entire duration of the alcoholic fermentation. This very traditional form of making white wine brings us a step closer to nonintervention and adds texture and complexity to the final wine. These grapes come from 27 year old organically farmed vines that live in sandy soils less than 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean.
